Hue

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 June 2026

Hue is a personal color-analysis app. We built it to keep your information private by default — the analysis runs entirely on your device, and your photo is never uploaded to us. This policy explains what happens to your data.

What stays on your device

Face data

Hue uses the selfie you choose only to sample color — the tones of your skin, hair, and eyes — so it can estimate your color season and palette. Hue does not perform facial recognition or identification, does not create a faceprint or biometric template, and cannot identify you.

What we don't collect

Hue has no accounts and no login. We do not collect your name, email, photos, or color results. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Subscriptions

Hue Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Payment, renewal, and cancellation are handled by Apple under your Apple Account — Hue never sees your payment details. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.

Shopping links

Hue includes affiliate links to retailers (e.g. Amazon). If you buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Tapping a link opens that retailer in your browser, where the retailer's own privacy policy applies.

Anonymous diagnostics

We may collect anonymous, aggregate usage counts (e.g. how many analyses were run) to improve the app. This data is not linked to you and never includes your photo or results.

Children

Hue is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
