Privacy Policy

Roam is an offline travel companion. It’s built to work — and to keep your data — entirely on your device. This policy explains what happens to your data.

What stays on your device

• Your questions to the AI guide ("Ask Roam"). Answered on your device by Apple Foundation Models. Your questions are not sent to us or to any server.
• Camera translate. Photos you take or choose are read with on-device text recognition (Apple Vision) and translated on-device. The photo and its text are never uploaded, stored by us, or used to train AI.
• The phrasebook and country tools (emergency numbers, tipping, plugs, currency) are bundled in the app and work fully offline.
• Your selected destination is saved only in local app storage on your phone.

What we don't collect

Roam has no accounts and no login. We do not collect your name, email, photos, questions, or location, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Subscriptions

Roam Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase. Payment, renewal, and cancellation are handled by Apple under your Apple Account — Roam never sees your payment details. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.
