Private AI memory
Your AI can remember. You stay in control.
Sema is a private AI chat for iPhone. It keeps conversations and memories on your device, uses them quietly when they help, and lets you inspect or delete what it saved.
No account in this build. No server-side memory. Delete everything anytime.
Private by default, visible to you.
Sema is built around the idea that useful AI memory should not require uploading your life.
Chat normally
Ask questions, mention plans, or keep a thread going. Conversation history stays on your iPhone.
Sema remembers durable facts
It can save things like applications, people, preferences, and follow-ups, then use them as context later.
You can inspect and delete
The Memories view shows what was saved, where it came from, and gives you control to remove it.
What it does now
Private chat
A clean assistant interface using Apple Foundation Models when available, with an on-device Gemma fallback on older phones.
Local memory
Useful facts are saved locally and can be searched later without a Sema account or server copy.
Permission gates
Contacts, Calendar, Photos, Location, and Reminders require explicit approval before Sema can use them.
Now on iPhone
A private assistant that can keep context.
Start with chat. Let it remember only what is useful. Delete anything you do not want kept.
Questions
Can Sema read my chats?
No. This build has no Sema account and no server-side memory store. Chats, memories, search data, and permission history stay on your iPhone.
What does it remember?
Sema looks for durable facts that may help later, like applications, people, plans, preferences, or things you asked it to remember. You can review and delete saved memories.
What if Apple Foundation Models are unavailable?
If Apple Intelligence is disabled on a supported device, Sema guides you to turn it on. If your phone is too old, Sema can offer a one-time on-device Gemma model download.
Does Sema upload my memories?
No. In this build, memories are local to your iPhone. The app may download model files or open web links, but your private chat and memory data are not sent to a Sema server.
Sema uses on-device AI where available. AI answers may be incomplete or incorrect, and saved memories should be reviewed by you. See the Privacy Policy for the exact data handling.
